Freddie Stutz, 79
passed away as the result of injuries sustained two weeks
ago when his TQ midget racer crashed at Charlotte
Motorsports Park in Florida.
Originally from The Bronx, N.Y. Fred began racing
stock cars at Freeport Stadium in 1954. He later
switched to TQ midgets and was a feature winner at
Island Garden, N.Y. and Pine Brook, N.J. He moved to
Florida where the spirited Stutz towed four hours to
race his TQ midget in Central Florida. He broke his
neck in an accident a few years ago but despite being
past seventy years old, he never quit. He liked to
call himself the original "Fast Freddie."

a maple leaf to acknowledge Fellows' Canadian heritage, and his name and
the team's championship seasons are also featured in Victory Red. A
full-width race spoiler, "CORVETTE" windshield graphic and
